We have developed a Purified Agar specially adapted for use in Molecular Biology. The manufacture of this purified agar is carried out by means of a special process that considerably reduces the agaropectin and salt content. In this way is obtained a product with properties very similar to those of agarose, but at a much lower cost.

The gels obtained with our Purified Agar are very transparent and have a high diffusion capacity, this together with its high gel strength and low electroendosmosis (-mr) make it very suitable for microbiology, electrophoretic separation of proteins and DNA, and also for immunodiffusion techniques.
